DESCRIPTION:
Summer folk art "Life is a journey" ocean boat - ship scene! This was mounted on an dry Oregon coast driftwood piece I found a few years ago. On it there is a ship or boat with a fine crackle finish. The top rim is copper painted. Also there is a fishing net, a fence with brush, a few poles with blue and green striped flags.
This measures 6.75 (tallest pole) tall and 6.5 inches long and 2 inches wide.

All artwork is original hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay and its processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

I am a long time artist of over 25 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Starting 2022 - Transpac giftware co. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
