Janell Berryman artist
She was just eight years old when she won her first art award at McDonalds. That tiny silly moment gave her all the confidence she needed and since then, lots of fun things have transpired. Like fellow artisans finding their way, Janell dabbed in paints, ceramics, collage, embroidery work until finally finding what suited her best... creating folk art characters out of clay. She starts off with an idea then a sketch. By the end of the day whatever was sketched on paper has turned into a wonderfully unique one of a kind piece. Janell has been sculpting her artwork for 20 years.
For 8 years Janell worked with Enesco giftware co and Dept 56. You can still find her reproduction work from time to time. She also has participated in many Halloween folk art shows here on the west coast.
