DESCRIPTION:
Halloween wood cut out black cat, ready to hang! This black cat is 9 inches long and 5.5 inches tall. The wood is 1/16 thick (which is thin). I sketched the design out and cut it with my scroll saw. The cat has big eyes and a vintage feel. The jagged "stripes" are clay. I reinforced the piece with another strip of wood on the back. Its ready to hang with its gold tone hanger in place.

All artwork is hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay is processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
