DESCRIPTION:
Every year I do my best to create at least one or two "premier" Halloween folk art pieces. This year, this is one of them. Check out the witch riding a bat! This piece measures 7.75 inches tall and 5.25 inches from wing tip to wing tip. The witch has a vintage-style face with glossy eyes, an open mouth with teeth, protruding ears, and a pointed chin. The bat was painted in a special iron oxide paint which gives it a mica shine, for lack of a better word (see up-close photo). The base is wood with lots of texture.

I am a long-time artist of over 30 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters, all unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. ARTWORK:
All artwork is original. Each piece starts as a sketch, then I create an armature. I add clay; the clay is then processed and painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and in my Etsy shop is one-of-a-kind. Each piece is hand-signed with my signature and year made. I use artist-grade paints, stain, and a touch of beeswax. Always buy directly from me so you know it's a Janell Berryman original.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts. Shipping same day if possible, or the following morning. I am on the West Coast.
