DESCRIPTION:
Every year I try and make one really detailed Santa piece. This is this years. Santa sits on wood blocks painted as gifts. This piece measures almost 6 inches tall and 4 inches across. The center "box" he sits on is a midnight blue with stars. Santa was painted in two tones of gray. He's got a big beard, matching mustache and eyebrows (like bushy) and those adorable ears. I gave him a red glossed up nose too. This is a very nice piece that took 4 full days to complete.

All artwork is original hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay and its processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

I am a long time artist of over 25 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Starting 2022 - Transpac giftware co. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top gesso, top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
