DESCRIPTION:
This Simple Simon wacky character is so sad. In hand is a black heart charm. He wears his copper painted clay crown with not much pride. He is sad but ever so lovable. I gave him a very fine crackle gloss finish. Very artsy indeed. This sad guy stands 6.75 inches tall. I love the crown, the teal color of his outfit, his X ears, the textured collar, the heart charm and those big chunky shoes.

All artwork is hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay is processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
