DESCRIPTION:
This is number 4 in the limited series of folk art dioramas. Wonderful sea theme featuring a big mustache sailor with sailor hat and shirt sitting in a tiny boat. The base has crackle and painted in sea water tones. Coming out of the water is an octopus. Backdrop is a vintage print of a sailboat with the rhetoric of a sea monster.
This diorama stands 5.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches across. Two inches deep. Frame handmade from wood.

ARTIST:
I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
