DESCRIPTION:
NEW cotton spun! These are vintage inspired and built with layers and layers of 100% cotton. I use old school technique mixed with modern.
Full bodied NEW cotton spun Christmas sitting Santa Claus. This is my first Santa in cotton spun. This jolly fellow stands 5 inches tall. He sits on a wooden round topped with a bit of German glass glitter. In one hand is a vintage sugar bell and the other a vintage candy cane. LOTS of time went into this guy. Check out that wisp of hair popping out of his Santa hat. A tough of German glass glitter added to the top of the hat.

All artwork is hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay is processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Starting 2022 - Transpac giftware co. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
ARTWORK:
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
SHIPPING:
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
