This is a ceramic piece. These are made using earthenware clay. Each piece gets fired in a kiln at 1940F, then glazed and fired again at 1830F to set and or melt the glaze. This is very different from my usual art. These take, because of the firing and dry times, take up to 10 days to make.
CERAMIC very sad man. This is a wall piece that easily can hang using a nail. He's got a textured bandage wrapped around his head, a tear and a broken heart. This piece is 3 inches tall and 2.5 across. Glossy finish except the ceramic bandage and heart.
I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.
All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.
Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
All artwork and its photo's are copywrite protected and belong solely to the artist Janell M. Berryman owner of Pumpkinseeds original folk art. You must ask permission to use photo's and or any of the content associated with my art. My artwork is not intended for resale.
Thanks for viewing this piece and please favorite my shop! I add lots of art weekly! Some you might never see if you just visit once a week.
