Art character with primitive crackle finish CREEPY yet kinda lovable man

DESCRIPTION:

When you do an art show and people look at what you've made and all you hear is "that's so scary".... and they were looking at Santa's and dogs that I've made. lol. Well, HERE is scary, creepy and yet (in my eyes) cute! Push me and I push back ha! This WONDERFUL and adorable art character stands a total height of 8.25 inches tall. The entire piece has a fine crackle finish and looks like old porcelain. He does have a lovely sheen, topped with lots of stain. These kinds of pieces come directly from my heart. I'm not broken... I'm expressive! Please look at all photo's to see detail. The base is fine crackle finish wood. THIS is a great piece!!! A little touch of steampunk mixed with primitive look.

All artwork is hand painted with layers of paint, sealed with stain and a light coating of beeswax. Each character starts off as a sketch then I build an armature. I add clay, the clay is processed then painted with layers of paint. None of the pieces I create are reproduced. All artwork on this site and my Etsy shop are one of a kind pieces.

ARTIST:

I am a long time artist of over 20 years in the same medium of clay art. My background includes thousands of these characters all unique and one of a kind pieces. Past successful reproduction line with companies Enesco and Dept 56. Holiday shows from 2003 - current.

ARTWORK:

All artwork is original, signed and dated. Each character starts off as a sketch. I then build an armature and then the sculpting begins. Once ready for paint, I apply top grade acrylics, stain and a light coating of wax.

SHIPPING:

Each piece is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shipping same or next day priority mail or when direct pay clears. Depending on how you purchase.
